Holyrood, Conception Bay, Newfoundland

Our primary meteorological observation platform in Conception Bay is a shore station located on the wharf at the Marine Institute’s Holyrood Marine Base located in South Arm of Holyrood Bay at the south end of Conception Bay, NL, Canada. This shore station became operational on May 01, 2014 and replaces a SmartBay buoy that operated nearby in South Arm from December 2009 until March 2014. This buoy has been removed from service but archived data from the buoy is available on the “Shore Station and Archived Buoy Data” page.

Please Note: The Port aux Basques Buoy has been removed from service for the remainder of the winter season. Buoy will be redeployed in Spring of 2017.
